Hello! My name is Andreas. I was born in Germany but spend most of my life in other countries. My first sailing experience was on a 470 as a teenager, that was over 40 years ago in Europe. This was not a 47 ft boat but one that is just 4.7m long. It is a small and nimble Olympic class sailor. As an adult I owned for a total of about 12 years sailboats in the US, Mexico and now in the South Pacific. I owned some small fishing boats for about 8 years as well. I also sailed with friends as much as possible on various catamarans and monohulls on both coasts of the US and Canada (BC). For a short week I sailed a monohull charter in Thailand.
Since 2021 I do own an Amel Super Maramu located in French Polynesia. I love this boat as I can single hand it safely. I currently spend about half my time in French Polynesia on my boat and the other half in the US.
Frequent crew – Philipp, we sailed in the US, Asia and the South Pacific together. Philipp is experienced and fun to be around. He is also a pilot, and just like myself – safety comes first.
Also frequently in board is my girlfriend Cai. She has by now sailed about 5000 miles with me.
